Elfie the elephant got the nod to represent the ‘business architect’ character contributing to Porteolas’ development and experiential learning.

Many cultures revere elephants as a symbol of various positive attributes. Traits I’m harnessing are:

- Strength and endurance – to not be dissuaded by all the hurdles in development & ‘nay-saying’
- Wisdom, intelligence, and emotional depth – to not be deterred by ‘distraction and diffusion’ &/or exclusion
- Loyalty, family, and community – quitting on myself would be quitting on those seeking sustainable futures
- Prosperity – remaining grounded in the prosperity for self & community that inspired this venture
- Conservation and protection – stewardship of resources & strategic growth/development

Elfie is the majority contributor of:

- Road mapping – development & strategy
- Program / project management
- Risk oversight / governance

Through Porteolas, Elfie hopes to inspire:

- Conservation of resources (personal and business)
- Prosperity – not having to ‘out hustle’ the costs of poor decisions
- Community – protecting self, colleagues, clientele, friends, and family
- Wisdom – through application of current talents and research / staying on pulse with changing environments
